The original character of the house has been retained and enhanced while we have updated it for modern living. Central heating, double glazing and luxurious en-suite bathrooms for each of our cosy, sunny bedrooms makes staying here a very great pleasure. There is a walled garden with garden furniture & BBQ and a gated drive with parking for two/three cars. The cosy Lounge is a great place to relax after a long day exploring the wonderful Lizard Peninsula and West Cornwall in general. There is a Log Burner in the inglenook fireplace for those cosy nights in, reading, watching TV or just dreaming of what exciting expeditions to go on tomorrow. A DVD player and set-top box, board games, CD/Tape player and books are available for your use. Double glazed doors lead out onto the front garden (down 2 steep steps) and patio area from this room.
At the other end of the Lounge there is a large pine table in the Dining Area and another one in the very spacious
Farmhouse Kitchen/Breakfast Room. This beautiful large kitchen is equipped with a 4-oven Aga for cooking delicious meals (for those of you who would rather not cook on that, there is an electric cooker with ceramic hob), a dishwasher, microwave, toaster, bread-maker, fridge-freezer; everything to make your time preparing meals a pleasure. In the conservatory off the kitchen there is a washing machine & tumble dryer with ample drying space. The entrance from the parking area is through this conservatory into the kitchen. Please be aware that there are two steps down into the kitchen and another one from the kitchen into the Lounge/Dining Room. The garden and all the rooms in this house face south so are bright, sunny and warm. The Garden There is a delightful small walled garden with cedar furniture and BBQ to the front of the house and also a 'secret garden' for private and peaceful quiet time. The gated drive has parking for three cars and gives access to the kitchen door which is the main entrance on arrival at the property.

The Lizard Peninsula is a truly unspoiled corner of Cornwall. The rugged coastline, dotted with tiny fishing villages and perfect sandy coves, is broken by deeply wooded valleys and the secret splendour of the Helford River - made famous by Daphne du Maurier in the novel "Frenchman`s Creek". It is minutes away by car and easily accessible to walkers. Nationally recognised for rare Fauna and Flora, the area is perfect at any time of the year. Mullion Village and the surrounding area has a good selection of restaurants and pubs as well as a range of interesting shops. The little fishing harbour at Mullion with views of the spectacular coastline is perfect in itself. |

For those who can bear to leave the peninsula, the whole of West Penwith, St. Michael's Mount. Lands End, St Ives, Truro and Falmouth can be reached in less than an hour. Garden enthusiasts will know that spring is the ideal time to visit Heligan, Trebah or Trevano - beautiful all year - they surpass themselves between April and June. Don't forget though, January and February is the time for Camellias and Daffodils in Cornwall! The Lizard Peninsula is a walkers paradise with the coastal path and inland walks, gardens, creeks and woodland all within easy reach. |
